Materials:

1 yard of ¼ inch and smaller ribbon any color **Grosgrain works the best but almost any ribbon will work.**

2 small wooden clothes pins
Small hair band

1. Using one of the small clothes pins attach one end of the ribbon to the wooden dowel.

2. Wind the ribbon in a spiral shape around the wooden dowel making sure not to allow the ribbon to touch as it winds up the dowel. Place the second clothes pin at the end of the dowel to secure the ribbon at the other end.

3. Place the wooden dowel with the ribbon wound onto it into the oven at 225 degrees for 20 min. Be sure to stay close and watch your ribbon as it heats up so that it does not burn or catch fire.

4. After 20 min pull the wooden dowel out of the oven and let it cool. Do not remove the ribbon from the dowel until it is cool as this helps to set in the curl.

5. After the ribbon has cooled remove the clothes pins and unwind it off of the dowel.

6. Fold the ribbon gently using the fan fold into 3 inch strips.

7. Using another small un-curled ribbon attach the bundle of curled ribbon to the hair band and tie.

8. Using sharp scissors cut each end of the folded ribbon so that all ends are now loose.

Be creative and have fun mixing and matching colors of ribbons.
